The Jokyl Airedales were established in 1957 by George and Olive Jackson.
At the 1959 Blackpool Championship Show Olive handeled Champion Jokyl Berrislea Monarque to win the kennels first group.
In 1973 Champion Jokyl Casanova won the kennels first all breeds Best in Show at the City of Birmingham Championship Show.
The first Champion, Riverina Galena was made
up in 1957 followed by Majack Briar in 1958.
Champion Siccawei Galliard joined the kennel after the death of his breeder Clare Halford. Glen was campaigned by Ernie Sharpe and won 10 CC's, he also sired 17 champions.
Champion Jokyl Smartie Pants was not only a winner of 18 CC's but also produced 7 Champions, 4 of those by Glen including the Top Dog All Breeds 1983

He won the group at Richmond 2001, the group and Best in Show at Windsor and Best in Show National Terrier 2002.
Top Terrier Stud dog 1987 and 1992. Soldier sired a record 25 English Champions including the multiple group winning
Champion Ballintobers Envoy for Jokyl - Pup of the year 1992, and the all time top winning Airedale Terrier
Champion Jokyl This is My Song Nan won a record 45 CC's. She was Top Terrier 1995. Top Airedale Terrier 1994 - 1995 - 1996 and won 13 groups and Reserve Best in Show Crufts 1996.
Soldier won 22 CC's all with Best of Breed. He was Best in Show National Terrier 1983, Top Terrier 1983. Top Airedale Terrier 1983 and 1984, he won 14 groups and the Pedigree Champion Stakes 1984. He also had 8 all breeds Best in Show wins, but he was not just a big winner himself; he also sired the winners.
